What are the characteristics of the above-mentioned EC2 instances?
On-demand — short-term and irregular workloads that cannot be
interrupted. The usage pattern is unpredictable.Hence its expensive.
Amazon Ec2 Savings Plan — consistent usage and commitment for a 1 or 3 years will result in greater cost savings of up to 72% over on-demand.for example 10$ per hour if you stay within the commitment, you will be charged on-demand rates beyond the commitment.
Spot Instances — work load can have flexible start and end times, and will be interrupted hence it must be fault tolerant.Gives steep discounts.
Reserved Instances — very flexible, is shared across AWS accounts using a service called AWS Organization, hence it will give greater cost savings.
